IT Security

Module 5, IT Security, requires the candidate to be familiar with the various ways of protecting data both in a single PC and in a LAN with internet connection. More specifically the candidate should be able to protect the company data from loss, virus attack and hacking. Also he/she should be able to know and handle the most common utilities and programs designed for these purposes.

Testing

The QTB contains two types of questions:

* Theoretical (multiple choice)
30 questions to be answered in 60 minutes.
* Practical (on live system)
10 tasks to be completed in 60 minutes.

Both tests must be passed for the candidate to be certified.
The pass mark is 70% for each one of the tests.

The candidate cannot choose on which platform he/she will take their tests, because the goal of this module is a sound knowledge in an environment that will be more and more mixed time after time, so the tests must be taken on a combined platform (Linux + Windows)

The questions are developed in English but there are other national languages available. Usually the English version of the relevant software is used as the candidates typically use the English terminology.
